Join NORD and ABC News for a Rare Disease Day Tweetchat on March 1

Join us for a nationwide conversation about rare diseases on:

In celebration of Rare Disease Day®, NORD will co-sponsor a tweetchat on the topic of rare diseases with Dr. Richard Besser, Chief of the ABC News Medical/Health Unit. NORD will be live tweeting with Dr. Besser from @rarediseases and @RareDayUS (a Twitter feed dedicated to Rare Disease Day). Marsha Lanes, MS, CGC, NORD’s Genetic Counselor & Medical Educator, will be providing answers through both Twitter handles.

Join us!  The tweetchat is an opportunity for patients, experts, the rare disease community and the public to come together, ask questions, get answers, and raise important awareness as part of Rare Disease Day. We look forward to having you participate as we work together to bring widespread recognition of rare diseases as a public health challenge.

How to Particpate:

Join the tweetchat by signing into your active Twitter account. Enter into the tweetchat at 12:45 p.m. EST on March 1 from the Twitter management tool that you prefer. To enter in, please send a tweet using #abcDRBchat. Once you have entered, you are welcome to tweet comments, facts, images and videos as often as you like.

Remember to use the hashtag #abcDRBchat in all of your tweets! Doing so will make your tweets a part of the actual chat with Dr. Besser, Marsha Lanes, and the community.

When Responding to a question, include the letter “T” followed by the number of the question
