The Band-Aides & Blackboards (BAB) is a web site for healthy children and those with chronic illnesses or disabilities, parents, healthcare providers, and educators. The purposes of this web site are to provide a forum for children with chronic disorders or disabilities to talk about their daily experiences and challenges; to help sensitize other children to what it is like to grow up with medical problems; to provide information and support for parents of children with such disabilities; and to provide links to age-appropriate teaching programs and other classroom activities for teaching programs. This site uses a combination of colorful graphics, music, drawings, and interactive children's activities.
