The Brachial Plexus Palsy Foundation (BPPF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for support of families who have children with brachial plexus injuries. Affected children may have paralysis of the shoulder and upper extremity due to injury of one or more of the nerves that control shoulder and upper extremity muscles (upper brachial plexus). Such injuries, which may be called Erb’s palsy or upper brachial paralysis, usually occur in newborns due to birth injury. The organization supports medical facilities that research and treat such injuries, holds fund-raising events to support further research, has support groups, and produces educational materials including a newsletter.
