The Canadian Women's Health Network (CWHN) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1993 by women representing over 70 organizations from every province and territory of Canada. It is committed to providing easy access to women's health information, resources, and research; producing user-friendly materials and resources; promoting and developing links to information and action networks; and providing forums for critical debate. Additional objectives include acting as a "watchdog" on emerging issues and trends that may affect women's health, working to change inequitable health policies and practices, encouraging community-based participatory research models, and promoting women's involvement in health research. In addition, the CWHN works with the Health Canada's Centres of Excellence for Women's Health Program to further promote communication, information sharing, and interaction among all interested groups and individuals. The CWHN also publishes current articles; blogs; guest columns; recordings of past webinars as well as maintains a database of organizations and other resources on its website.
