The Juvenile Scleroderma Network (JSDN), a voluntary organization, invites family's world-wide to become involved and help provide support and friendship to families who have a child with juvenile scleroderma. It also serves families in Canada, South America, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Scleroderma is a connective tissue disease involving skin, blood vessels, and the immune system. Children who have juvenile scleroderma may experience confusion about their illness, anger about changes in their appearance, and fear of the unknown. For parents to be able to help their children deal with such feelings, it is important for them to have a support network to exchange information and find emotional reassurance. The network's services include advocacy, support groups for parents and children, networking, publications, and research. Spanish language materials are available.
