The Bright Pink is a national non-profit organization that provides education and support to young women who are at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. Their goal is to enlighten and empower high risk individuals to take control of their breast and ovarian health by providing education, support and a sense of community. Today, 1 out of 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime, and 1 out of 67 will develop ovarian cancer. Bright Pink educates young women who carry the gene that makes them at high risk for both about what their options are and connects them to older women who have gone through the same experiences.
