The prime objective of Advancement of Research for Myopathies (ARM) is to raise funds for research on HIBM, to facilitate the research and ultimately to help find an effective treatment for HIBM. To reach its objectives, ARM organizes fundraising events and informational seminars. HIBM (hereditary inclusion body myopathy) or IBM2 is a muscle-wasting disorder. It predominantly affects people of Middle Eastern and Jewish heritage, but patients have been identified all over the world.
