The Alliance Against Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma (TAAASPS) is solely dedicated to the eradication of alveolar soft part sarcoma, a rare type of cancer involving a tumor typically in the leg or buttocks that may later spread to the lungs. The Alliance works to raise awareness of this disease and to raise funds for research to support the development of more effective therapies. TAAASPS is currently working with several institutions to develop a vaccine against the disease. It also offers programs such as support groups for patients and family members, patient networking, and patient education.
