{"id":58556,"date":"2015-03-20T20:57:11","date_gmt":"2015-03-21T00:57:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/rare-disease-day-2015-was-the-biggest-and-most-impactful-yet\/"},"modified":"2022-12-01T11:43:36","modified_gmt":"2022-12-01T16:43:36","slug":"rare-disease-day-2015-was-the-biggest-and-most-impactful-yet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/es\/rare-disease-day-2015-was-the-biggest-and-most-impactful-yet\/","title":{"rendered":"Rare Disease Day 2015 was the biggest and most impactful yet!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rare Disease Day 2015 Highlights\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/r0vpEwcM8rM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The final 2015 State House Event took place yesterday. \u00a0Now that all of the numbers are in, take a look at (and share!) this year\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/campaigns.rarediseases.us\/t\/r-l-qiluult-l-k\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">highlight reel<\/a>\u00a0&amp; recap:Together, we planned and hosted\u00a032 State House Events\u00a0in capitol buildings across the U.S., up from last year\u2019s 12 State House Events<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Governors in\u00a036 states issued proclamations\u00a0for \u201cRare Disease Day\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0Senate passed a resolution\u00a0declaring Feb. 28, 2015 \u201cRare Disease Day\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Nearly\u00a01,500 people\u00a0and\u00a0189 state legislators &amp; staff\u00a0attended the State House Events, which featured participation from\u00a083 organizations,\u00a085 patient &amp; caregiver speakers,\u00a035 state legislative speakers, and\u00a039 medical professional &amp; industry speakers<\/li>\n<li>More than\u00a0800 partners\u00a0joined the movement by signing on to the U.S. Rare Disease Day\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/campaigns.rarediseases.us\/t\/r-l-qiluult-l-u\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">website<\/a>\u00a0&amp; combined forces with advocates in\u00a080+ countriesaround the world<\/li>\n<li>Rare Disease Day\u00a0trended on Facebook\u00a0for the first time<\/li>\n<li>More than 160 people submitted photos &amp; stories to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/campaigns.rarediseases.us\/t\/r-l-qiluult-l-o\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Handprints Across America<\/a>\u2122\u00a0gallery<\/li>\n<li>Millions\u00a0of people around the world\u00a0watched this year\u2019s\u00a0video<\/li>\n<li>By working with Rare Disease Day founder,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/campaigns.rarediseases.us\/t\/r-l-qiluult-l-n\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">EURORDIS<\/a>, our efforts helped to make this a truly global event with\u00a0hundreds of patient organizations\u00a0&amp;thousands of events on every continent.
