The hope is that these studies will ultimately lead to new diagnostics, treatments, and\/or cures for rare diseases. NORD\u2019s program provides grants for the study of diseases for which there are few other sources of funding. Grants provided through the NORD program are made possible by donations from individuals and organizations to restricted research funds at NORD.<\/p>\n<p>NORD is happy to announce this year&#8217;s Requests for Proposals for research grants that will result in research into six different diseases.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alveolar Capillary Dysplasia (ACD)<\/li>\n<li>Cat Eye Syndrome<\/li>\n<li>Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD)<\/li>\n<li>Cysathionine Beta-Sythase Deficiency<\/li>\n<li>Lsosomal Storage Diseases<\/li>\n<li>Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Deadline for preliminary abstract proposal submission: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">July 31, 2015<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/for-clinicians-and-researchers\/research-opportunities\/requests-proposals\/\">Click here<\/a><\/strong> to see each RFP in full.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grants now available for research into seven different rare diseases.
