Time is running out – today\u00a0may be our last chance before September for anything to happen on the critical Zika package. \u00a0This Friday, Senators will depart D.C. for their 7-week summer recess. \u00a0This is problematic because July and August in the U.S. are the worst months for mosquito and potential Zika activity.<\/p>\n

Today, July 13, is a national day of action. \u00a0Join NORD, the March of Dimes, and other patient advocacy organizations in the Zika Coalition and ask your\u00a0Senators to act on a bipartisan Zika package. \u00a0We need them to send an\u00a0emergency spending bill to the President by the end of this week to combat the terrible threat this virus poses to pregnant women and their babies.\u00a0Email or call your Senators urging them to act. \u00a0Here are the existing alerts from the March of Dimes<\/a> and American Public Health Association<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We can try\u00a0to prevent additional, unnecessary rare disease cases from happening by funding Zika preventions. \u00a0On behalf of pregnant women, their infants, and their families, thank you for taking action!<\/p>\n
