{"id":58806,"date":"2017-02-03T15:46:11","date_gmt":"2017-02-03T20:46:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/raise-your-hand-for-rare-disease-research\/"},"modified":"2017-02-03T15:46:11","modified_gmt":"2017-02-03T20:46:11","slug":"raise-your-hand-for-rare-disease-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/es\/raise-your-hand-for-rare-disease-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Raise Your Hand for Rare Disease Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By raising your hand,\u00a0<em>you can show\u00a0your support for the 30 million Americans with\u00a0rare diseases.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Simply click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rarediseaseday.us\/thank-you-for-raising-your-hand\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Lundbeck will donate $1 to rare disease research (up to $10,000 for the campaign). \u00a0The donations will be added\u00a0to a general\u00a0research\u00a0fund managed by NORD. \u00a0The\u00a0campaign will run through the month of February in honor of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rarediseaseday.us\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rare Disease Day<\/a>\u00a0on Feb. 28th.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 8th annual Raise Your Hand campaign.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>In 2016, Raise Your Hand provided donations\u00a0that NORD awarded to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/for-clinicians-and-researchers\/research-opportunities\/research-grant-recipients\/\">research grants<\/a>\u00a0for the study of Malonic Aciduria and Stiff Person Syndrome. \u00a0Learn more about NORD&#8217;s research grant program\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/for-clinicians-and-researchers\/research-opportunities\/research-grant-program\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The 2017 Raise Your Hand campaign is particularly meaningful for the rare disease community, as the Rare Disease Day 2017 theme is research.
