The following is an excerpt from the article:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The database contains reports on more than 1,200 of the disorders, from <a href=\"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/rare-diseases\/aarskog-syndrome\/\">Aarskog syndrome<\/a>, a rare genetic condition that produces facial, skeletal and genital abnormalities, to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/rare-diseases\/zollinger-ellison-syndrome\/\">Zollinger-Ellison syndrome<\/a>, which causes tumors that stimulate the production of stomach acid. It covers just about everything, such as symptoms, affected populations, diagnoses and known therapies.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font--body font-copy color-gray-darkest ma-0 pad-bottom-md undefined\">Most important, the database identifies clinical trials and member organizations where patients can find more information and support.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font--body font-copy color-gray-darkest ma-0 pad-bottom-md undefined\">NORD also offers educational videos, advocacy information and a patient registry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font--body font-copy color-gray-darkest ma-0 pad-bottom-md undefined\">With rare conditions, there is strength in numbers \u2014 and more information out there than you might think.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font--body font-copy color-gray-darkest ma-0 pad-bottom-md undefined\">Curious about rare diseases?
