In collaboration with pharmaceutical industry leaders (iBIO), the Illinois Rare Disease Commission, and the Rare Disease community (advocacy groups) celebrates Rare Disease with an Awards Ceremony and Opening Night at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel Ballroom (701 E. Adams St.) in Springfield, IL on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 5pm.
The following day, Breakfast with Legislators takes place at the Stratton Building (401 S. Spring St., Springfield) where legislators have their offices. The Rare Breakfast starts on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 8am. Legislators meet with rare disease families and individuals to talk about the recommendations of the Illinois Rare Disease Commission. We have posters and will provide print copies of the IRDC 2023 Report.
Following the breakfast the Illinois Rare Disease Commission has a public meeting (hybrid) where patients can advocate and comment on how to increase awareness and improve services and care in Illinois.
