There are six different types of programs that you can register for: adult general, childcare, G-Force, Generation G, AGERs with offsite activites, and AGERs without offsite activities. See www.galactosemia.org/schedules for more information about the programs.
General conference registration is for adults 18 years old and older. General conference registration includes admission to six self-selected breakout sessions, general sessions, galactosemia safe lunches and snacks on Friday and Saturday, and evening social events on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Childcare registration is for a professional on-site childcare provided by Corporate Kids Events. Onsite childcare is from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. The childcare program is for children from infants through age 12. The child care program will include age-appropriate activities for each age group, along with galactosemia safe snacks. Children in the childcare program will eat a galactosemia safe lunch on Friday and Saturday with their families. To participate in the childcare program, please register and pay for each child through this website, then complete a separate childcare form to register with Corporate Kids Events at https://conferencechildcare.com/galactosemia-conference-childcare/
G-Force and Generation G
The G-Force and Generation G groups have their own programs separate from the general conference. These programs include both on-site and off-site activities. Transportation will be provided from the hotel to the off-site activities. A special t-shirt is also included with registration for these groups. Galactosemia safe lunches and snacks on Friday and Saturday are included in the registration for these groups.
G-Force is for teens (13-19) both those with galactosemia and those without. The Generation G program is for adults (20+) with galactosemia (see also AGERs). Both the G-Force and Generation G programs are full programs that are separate from the general conference program.
AGERs is a program for older adults with galactosemia who are in a more mature place in their lives, most are married and some also have children. AGERs have two options for the 2016 conference: registering with or without off-site activities. Registering with the off-site activities costs an additional $50 and gives a blend of the general conference program plus participation in the offsite activities with the G-Force and Generation G groups. AGERs that register without the off-site activities will attend the conference general session and breakout sessions but will also have opportunities to network with other adults with galactosemia before and after the main program and during lunches.
