Individuals as diverse as business leaders, undergraduate students, and stay at home parents increasingly recognize that the needs of the pemphigus and pemphigoid community are going unmet. The world needs a better understanding of these diseases and the treatments necessary to improve quality of life. A difficult step is to effectively collaborate across cultures, disciplines, languages and sometimes wide‐ranging differences in resources and training to solve shared challenges physicians face in properly diagnosing and treating pemphigus and pemphigoid. The obstacles are substantial, but the opportunities are even greater. Fall 2016 marks one such opportunity! Join the International Pemphigus Pemphigoid Foundation (IPPF) as we invite leading bullous disease experts to present on research and trends, educate on disease management, and answer tough questions such as how to cope with stress and what other options are available to patients.
With world‐renowned speakers on plenary panels, local bullous disease experts spanning the many disciplines that contribute to the care and treatment of pemphigus and pemphigoid patients, the 2016 Patient Conference will be an exciting and educational event for any patient, caregiver, family member, practitioner, researcher or learner in the bullous disease field. Also, numerous workshops will be held to address specific interests of patients and caregivers.Austin, TX is currently one of the most popular cities to visit in the US.
