Heartworks St. Louis is hosted by Alan and Rebecca Braverman. Dr. Braverman, Alumni Endowed Professor in Cardiovascular Diseases and Director of the Marfan Syndrome Clinic at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, lost his father to Marfan syndrome and has a brother and nephew who are affected by the condition. St. Louis has one of the nation’s largest Marfan syndrome clinics and collaborates with physicians and scientists nationwide on research on Marfan syndrome and related disorders.
Each year at Heartworks St. Louis, local leaders in the medical, corporate, and Marfan communities are honored for their contribution to the Marfan syndrome and related disorders community.
