Revolutions in Medical Genetics: From CRISPR Genome Editing to Gene Therapy

Leading experts in medical genetics Dr. Dwight Koeberl (M.D., Ph.D., Duke University), Dr. Raymond Wang (M.D., Children’s Hospital of Orange County) and Jeff Huang (Ph.D., Children’s Hospital of Orange County) will be speaking on their innovative research to treat and potentially cure rare genetic metabolic diseases. This hour-long lunchtime panel is a follow-up event to the Viral Culture: How CRISPR Genome Editing and the Microbiome Transform Humanity and the Humanities symposium. These scientific experts will offer faculty, students and the public cutting-edge research on the prospect of genome editing and gene therapy to revolutionize the field of medicine.

This event requires either a dining hall card swipe or the purchase of a dining hall lunch ($14.75 for guests without meal plans).
