ROOTS: Jewish Genes and Cuisine

Join the ABPDRF on March 2nd at 7:30pm ET for a fun-filled and enlightening event to support scientific research into the treatment and cure of APBD (apbdrf.org), a rare inherited disorder of metabolism. Individuals of Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry are most at risk for this life-limiting disorder. The event will feature a presentation by Karen Grinzaid, Executive Director, JScreen Jewish Genetic Screening Program, who will speak about the importance of genetic testing and knowing your roots. The event will also feature a cooking demonstration by Jeffrey Yoskowitz, author of The Gefilte Manifesto, who will share tales of the history of Ashkenazi cuisine while making delicious Jewish-inspired cocktails and noshes. us.
