The Annual Trap Shoot Fundraiser is hosted by Myelin Project board member and ALD mother Diane Love and Bill Zmrzel at the Coon Creek Trap & Skeet Club in Sacramento County, California. Last year, we raised nearly $30,000 to support The Myelin Project Research Fund.
The event will be a trap shooting competition with approximately 20 different teams of five shooters each. Individual tickets are $125 each, (or $625 per team) which includes: ammunition, targets, food, drinks, and game prizes. There are 5 shooters per team. There will also be an auction and raffle. We don’t have shotguns for everyone – so remember to B.Y.O.S. All proceeds raised from the event go to The Myelin Project Research Fund.
Diane Love has been a board member of The Myelin Project for nearly 10 years. Her son, Wyatt, was diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) several years ago and she has been fundraising for ALD research ever since. Wyatt’s father, Bill handles logistics for the event and friends, family, and employees volunteer their time to help run the event. Bill’s company BZ Plumbing Co., Inc. is also a two time Gold Sponsor of the event.
This is not a NORD sponsored event. This event is being hosted by a NORD member organization.
