About American Society of Hypertension

The American Society of Hypertension (ASH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to a clearer understanding, dissemination, and evaluation of the vast accumulation of data on high blood pressure (hypertension) and to provision of a separate forum for those involved in the study of management of hypertension. Established in 1985 by 17 world famous clinicians and scientists, ASH is now the largest U.S. organization devoted exclusively to hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases. Through the years, ASH has become a scientific organization on the cutting edge of education, research, and treatment strategies and has earned the respect of clinicians, scientists, industry, and government agencies. In addition, the organization conducts an annual four-day scientific meeting, presents several awards to young researchers, and holds regional meetings to provide practicing physicians and their staff with the latest and most comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic options available in the treatment of hypertensive individuals.
