About Diabetes New Zealand
The Diabetes New Zealand is a nationwide, non-governmental, non-profit membership organization. Established in February 1962, it acts as a national advocate and encourages local support for people affected by diabetes, raises the level of awareness of this disease, and empowers those affected to choose healthy lifestyles. It also supports research into treatment, prevention, and cure of diabetes. The mission of this organization is to supoprt its members, 41 diabetes societies throughout New Zealand, and health professionals involved with diabetes.
