About EDS Today
The EDS Today is a voluntary, 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000. Its goal is to provide information and support to patients and families living with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a group of genetic connective tissue disorders characterized by defects of the major structural protein in the body (collagen). Symptoms and findings include abnormally loose, flexible joints; thin, stretchy skin; and fragility of the skin, blood vessels, and other body tissues. EDS Today is staffed 100 percent by volunteers. All donations are used to support its mission of providing information and support to people affected by EDS and to members of the medical community working to help them.
