About Foundation Fighting Blindness (Canada)

The Foundation Fighting Blindness (Canada) is a charity that was founded in 1974 by a small group of family’s intent on finding a cure for the diseases affecting the vision of their children. It works to find causes, treatments, and ultimately, cures for retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration and related retinal diseases. Its members do this by promoting research and developing public awareness. In addition to sponsoring support groups, the foundation offers educational materials and networking to patients, families and the healthcare community at large.
