About Genetic Disease Foundation

The Genetic Disease Foundation (GDF) was established in 1997 by patients and families affected by genetic disorders. They support research, education and the prevention of genetic diseases. They provide education programs for the public and physicians to increase their awareness about genetic diseases and the need for and availability of testing for many disorders. And they designe research to improve genetic testing and to discover ways to treat, cure and ultimately prevent genetic disorders.The foundation is completely run by volunteers, which enables it to use all of its fundraising dollars to directly fight genetic diseases.
