About Rehabilitation Research & Training Center on Aging with Developmental Disabilities

The Rehabilitation Research & Training Center on Aging with Developmental Disabilities (RRTCADD) promotes the successful aging of adults with intellectual (mental retardation) and developmental disabilities in response to physical, cognitive, and environmental changes. RRTCADD research priorities include improving the health and function of adults with I/DD; enhancing caregiving supports and transition planning among adults with I/DD and their families; and promoting aging- and disability-friendly environments that enable adults with I/DD to participate in community life. The RRTCADD translates its research findings into progressive interventions and policies through its coordinated training, technical assistance, and dissemination activities.
