The Scleroderma Foundation (SF) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to serving those affected by scleroderma. Its mission is three-fold: to help patients and their families cope with scleroderma by offering support groups, physician referrals, and educational information; to promote public awareness and education through patient and health professional seminars, informational brochures and publicity campaigns; to stimulate and support research to improve treatment options for patients and to ultimately find the cause of and cure for scleroderma and related disorders. Scleroderma is a rare connective tissue disorder characterized by abnormal thickening of the skin.
