NORD is looking for your recommendations for the following roles in our 2020 Summit program.

  • Opening Keynote Speaker: The speaker for our opening patient and caregiver speaker address should have a unique and inspiring story of motivation and triumph.  This speaking opportunity is only available to patients and/or caregivers. Professional speaking sales pitches should not be submitted.  
  • Panel Moderator: Please review the list of topics that will be discussed during our program.  This person should be a subject matter expert on one of those topics and bring a unique perspective to the discussion.  He/she should have experience moderating a group panel discussion in front of large audiences with a focus on providing engaging and effective dialogue on the given topic in a timely manner.  
  • Panelist: Each panel will have 3-4 people from different perspectives in the rare disease community to enhance the conversation on one of the given topics listed on this form.  NORD will assemble each panel to make sure that the viewpoints are diverse and reflective of the issues at hand.  
  • Lunch & Learn Discussion Leader: Over the course of the 2-day program, 14 different presentations will be offered during lunch time to small audiences of no more than 30 people.  The presenters for each of these topics should be dynamic and have a unique perspective to bring to the conversation. The presentation will last no more than 60 minutes and minimal audiovisual devices (TV with HDMI connector) will be provided.  
  • Poster Author: Poster auther should present new or cutting-edge research results, innovation, model, technology, etc. Posters should follow the guidelines outlined in our submissions guidelines document available here. 
  • Pre/Post Conference Workshop Speaker – This optional add on workshop will be an in-depth educational workshop for specified audiences. Speakers are expected to provide registrants with tangible takeaways.
