Help light up landmarks around the country on February 28th!
Rare Disease Day is an important time for the rare community to come together and shine a light on the over 10,000 rare diseases that impact over 300 million people globally. One way to Show Your Stripes® is to help our community light up as many buildings and landmarks as possible in Rare Disease Day colors on or around February 28, 2025! Please use the form below to submit landmarks that you have confirmed will be participating.
STEP 1: SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST
The first step is to identify potential landmarks—buildings, bridges, homes, businesses, stadiums, state capitol buildings, and other local points of interest—and complete the applications or request forms, as required by the landmark you are asking to light up.

STEP 2: LOG YOUR LANDMARK
Once your landmark has confirmed, please let NORD know by filling out the form on this page so we can track it in our coverage of the global chain of lights. Please provide your contact information so we can be in touch with you regarding confirmation.
STEP 3: PROMOTE YOUR LANDMARK
Share photos of your landmark or home/business on social media so we can spread the word about rare diseases far and wide! Be sure to tag NORD and use #RareDiseaseDay and #ShowYourStripes so the entire community can see how you have shined a light on rare disease. Ask your friends and family to share your posts too.
