About half of the 30 million Americans living with rare diseases are children or teenagers, and they often encounter bullying and lack of peer acceptance. Rare Disease Day is an important time to learn about the journeys our friends, peers, and fellow students go on and what we can do as a community and as a country to encourage greater acceptance, inclusion, and advocacy.
NORD has designed resources for teachers to engage and educate students at all levels – Elementary, Middle School, High School and University. Utilize the following toolkit for our Rare Disease Day curriculum, fact sheets, school activities, and more.
We want to hear from you!
