The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) is a professional medical organization devoted to the field of clinical endocrinology. The mission of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists is to enhance the practice of clinical endocrinology. Some of the Association�s goals are to create and maintain a society of qualified adult, pediatric, reproductive, and surgical endocrinologists for the coordination of their efforts in furthering the practice of endocrinology and utilize the highest standards of practice for the care of patients with endocrine diseases and related disorders; study the scientific, economic, social, and political aspects of medicine in order to secure and maintain the highest standard of practice in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism; and represent the interest of patients and endocrinologists in socioeconomic and related matters with government agencies, the insurance industry, organized medicine, health related organizations, and others. Members of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists are physicians with special education, training, and interest in the practice of clinical endocrinology. These physicians devote a significant part of their clinical practice to the evaluation and management of patients with endocrine disease. All members of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists are fully licensed physicians and a majority are board certified in Internal Medicine and sub-specialty certified in Adult or Pediatric Endocrinology. Members of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists are recognized clinicians and educators, many of them whom are affiliated with medical schools and universities. Members of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists contribute on a regular and continuing basis to the scientific literature on endocrine diseases and conduct medical education programs on this subject.
