About Lupus Canada

The Lupus Canada is a national association of regional lupus support groups and their various branches. These groups of volunteers are dedicated to providing support and information to people who have lupus, their families, and friends. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disorder that can affect any organ of the body. In lupus, the body’s immune system malfunctions and attacks the bodies own tissue. Established in 1987, Lupus Canada produces educational materials, promotes research, and provides advocacy on behalf of the lupus community.
