Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services

The mission of the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services is to provide leadership to achieve full integration and participation in society of people with disabilities by ensuring equal opportunity and access to, education, employment and community living. The OSERS supports programs that help educate children and youth with disabilities, provides rehabilitation, and supports research to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. OSERS provides a wide array of supports to parents and individuals, school districts and states in three main areas: special education, vocational rehabilitation and research.
