About Sarcoidosis Center

The Sarcoidosis Center provides a broad range of services for sarcoidosis patients and anyone desiring information about sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis is a multisystem disorder that most often affects individuals between 20 and 40 years of age and is characterized by the abnormal formation of inflammatory masses or nodules of white blood cells in certain organs of the body. Organs or systems that may be affected include the lungs, liver, bone marrow, spleen, musculoskeletal system, heart, salivary glands, and/or nervous system. The center exists mainly as a «virtual entity» on the Internet and but is headquartered in Memphis, Tenn. The center provides information about the disease for those interested in learning more. We also participate in an international exchange of information at various conferences related to sarcoidosis.
