Vascular Cures
About Vascular Cures
The Vascular Disease Foundation was formed in 1998 to improve public recognition of the prevalence and seriousness of vascular disease, with an initial focus on increasing public awareness to improve prevention, diagnosis, and comprehensive treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The foundation disseminates educational information to the public, fosters vascular disease patient advocacy initiatives, and provides information to patients and to those at risk for development of common vascular disorders. PAD occurs because of blockages in the arteries in the legs, but it may also indicate that blockages are occurring in the arteries to the heart or brain. The Vascular Disease Foundation is increasing awareness and understanding of PAD and other vascular diseases for which early diagnosis and treatment may be very important.
