About Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center
The Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center is a federally funded, non-profit organization, dedicated to serving as a national resource for the collection and distribution of postmortem brain tissues for medical research into the causes of neurological and psychiatric disorders. The Brain Bank is interested in the study of Huntington’s, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s diseases, Tourette and Rett syndromes, and autism, as well as schizophrenia and manic depressive illnesses. The center distributes brain tissue samples, at no charge, to qualified investigators in the United States who are involved in studying the neurobiology of these disorders.
