Sarcoma Alliance
About Sarcoma Alliance
The Sarcoma Alliance was founded by sarcoma survivors to help guide, educate and support people with sarcomas. It also provides information and support to the families, friends, and caregivers of people with sarcomas. These rare, cancerous tumors originate in the body’s connective tissues, which include fat, muscle, blood vessels, deep skin tissues, nerves, bones, and cartilage. Because sarcomas are rare, with only approximately 10,000 patients each year in the United States, and because there are many different types of sarcomas, it is difficult for patients to find understandable information about them. The Sarcoma Alliance provides such information, serving patients and health professionals in the U.S., Canada, and throughout the world.
