The aims of FEDER are to enhance awareness and recognition of rare disorders; improve the medical, social, and financial care that patients receive; call on appropriate authorities to set up nationwide reference, diagnostic, and therapeutic centers for each disease or group of diseases; promote and support initiatives that encourage prevention, research, and collaboration; develop and implement orphan drug regulations; and defend patient rights and interests.
