About Hearing Health Foundation

The Hearing Health Foundation formerly known as Deafness Research Foundation (DRF) is a national, voluntary health organization that offers seed research grants to help solve the problems of deafness and other serious ear disorders. It is committed to increasing public awareness about hearing health. The four primary objectives of the Deafness Research Foundation are fostering innovative research and education into the causes, treatments, and prevention of hearing loss and other dysfunctions of the auditory and balance systems; increasing awareness of measures to prevent hearing loss and the need to support research; creating greater understanding about the effect of hearing loss on people’s lives; and increasing the number of scientists who are committed to hearing health. The Deafness Research Foundation also publishes materials including brochures on deafness and a grants policy fact sheet.
