Steffens Scleroderma Foundation

The Steffens Scleroderma Foundation is affiliated with the Ann Steffens Scleroderma Research Foundation, Inc. which was launched in 2010 from a generous donation made by Helen Polenz, in honor of her daughter, Ann Steffens, who died of complications from scleroderma.

Our mission is threefold:

– Support and promote research toward treatment and cure
of scleroderma, Degos disease, and other related disorders.

– Promote awareness and understanding of these disorders,
especially among health-care professionals

– Encourage collaborative efforts, nationally and internationally,
aimed at realizing these goals

Steffens’ primary goals are to expedite diagnosis and improve patient experience,
through research, awareness, and collaboration.
