Childhood Dementia Initiative

One in 2900 babies are born with a condition that results in childhood dementia. 50% of these children will not live to see their 10th birthday. These children suffer without treatments for months, years or even decades, and every eleven minutes childhood dementia takes a life. Childhood Dementia Initiative is addressing the lack of awareness and resulting inequity and dearth of support that children with dementia are currently subjected to. Our collective approach addresses the lack of awareness, fragmented and insufficient research, poor quality of life and limited access to appropriate care and support.
