About Lewy Body Dementia Association, Inc.
The Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) is a non-profit, voluntary, general service organization founded in 2003. It is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those who suffer from lewy body dementia, a progressive brain disease with no known cure. Although symptoms vary, hallucinations and fluctuating cognition are usually present, along with features of Alzheimer’s disease and/or Parkinson’s disease. The association helps patients, as well as their families and caregivers, by providing information and offering support and advice. In addition, it promotes awareness of this disorder among medical professionals and encourages research.
