Genomic Answers for Kids
The Children’s Mercy Research Institute is undertaking Genomic Answers for Kids, a research initiative to build a first-of-its-kind pediatric data repository to facilitate the search for answers and novel treatments for pediatric genetic conditions. GA4K accelerates diagnoses of rare, inherited diseases through cutting-edge next-generation sequencing (NGS), variant interpretation, and omics-based diagnostics. The growing repository data is deposited annually and made accessible through the NGHRI/AnVIL platform. The program collaborates with a growing network of regional, national, and international partners and is a member of the NHGRI GREGoR Consortium.
