NORD was founded by a grassroots coalition of volunteers, patients, and family caregivers; volunteers aren’t just a part of our organization, they are our DNA. We see volunteers as the heartbeat of our mission. We believe the next life-changing breakthrough or legislative victory will be driven by the exact same passion that led to the establishment of our organization over 40 years ago.
As a volunteer, you’ll join a community of people across the country improving the health and well-being of people living with rare diseases. Opportunities vary by time commitment, location, and your passions and preferences.
