The NORD Support Helpline directs families to the resources and information they need, answering more than 140,000 calls and emails annually.

For over 40 years, NORD’s programs have assisted the rare disease community to overcome obstacles and access to care. Sometimes what is needed most is information and resources. NORD receives numerous calls and emails requesting assistance navigating a variety of rare disease issues, including:

• How do I locate a rare disease specialist?
• Where do I search for a clinical trial?
• How do I pay for my medical bills and medication?
• Is there research about my disease?
• How can I get genetic counseling?
• Are there resources available to assist me?
