About Ataxia Telangiectasia Children’s Project, Inc (A-T)
| Ataxia–telangiectasia (A-T) is a genetic disease that causes loss of muscle control and balance, cancer, lung disease and immune system problems in children and young adults, shortening their lives. The nonprofit A-T Children’s Project partners with academic and industry investigators worldwide – organizing and supporting innovative research, conferences, clinical teams, data platforms and biomarker development – to optimize disease management strategies, develop new treatments and find a cure.
The A-TCP supports the A-T community through a strong network of family members, caregivers, medical professionals, researchers, therapists, volunteers, and partner nonprofits. The organization hosts Caregiver Weekend Retreats, shares clinical recommendations from the A-T Clinical Center on symptom management, creates and disseminates valuable resources like the ‘Caring for People with A-T‘ guide, provides updates on the A-T research landscape including any clinical studies/trials, and more. We’d love to hear from you and make sure your child is included in ongoing research efforts. There are many reasons for hope. https://atcp.org/learn-about-a-t/get-connected/ |
