The Fragile X Society aims to improve the quality of life of all those affected by fragile X syndrome by providing mutual support to fragile X families, providing information to families and professionals, and encouraging research into all aspects of fragile X syndrome. This syndrome is the most common known cause of inherited learning disability. It shows itself in a wide range of difficulties with learning and developmental delay, as well as social, language, attention, emotional, and behavioral problems.
