About Hairy Cell Leukemia Foundation

The Hairy Cell Leukemia Research Foundation is an organization created and run by HCL patients, with the goal of providing support and information to individuals and families, as well as raising funds for research. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization. Hairy cell leukemia is a rare blood disorder that affects mostly males in middle age. However, it has been identified in both sexes and among younger adults. It is a chronic leukemia and does not develop into acute leukemia.
