About Huntington’s Disease Society of America – Connecticut Affiliate

The Huntington’s Disease Society of America-CT Affiliate (HDSA-CT) is one of 38 chapters and affiliates of the national HDSA, a voluntary, not-for-profit health organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with Huntington’s disease and their families. The mission for which the Society was formed and shall operate are: to promote and support research on Huntington’s disease to eradicate the disease; to assist people and families affected by Huntington’s disease to cope with the problems presented by the disease; to educate the public and health professionals about Huntington’s disease. The CT Affiliate collaborates with UCONN Health Center’s Huntington’s Disease Program by referring any patients/family members to them for counseling and genetic testing and support groups.
