Nail Patella Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that is usually apparent at birth or during early childhood. It is often misdiagnosed. Although the associated symptoms and physical characteristics may vary, characteristic abnormalities include improper development of the fingernails, toenails, kneecaps, and certain bones at the bend of the elbow.
